Château de Murol:
Overlooking Murol since the twelfth Century, the Château de Murol was classified as a historical monument in 1889. Today, you can visit the castle. It’s a fun and educational activity for the whole family. There are simple visits, guided visits or animated visits, during which, the castle relives the Middle Ages with fine Ladies, noble Lords and valiant knights.
There are also falconry demonstrations.
Nocturnal shows are every Tuesday and Thursday from 08/07/2014 to 28/08/2014.
Scénomusées La Toinette and La Grange de Julien:
A magical journey through time awaits you at the 2 “scénomusées” (museums with audiovisual animations, special effects, realistic decorations…) in Murat le Quaire. These fun museums show how people used to live in the olden days.
Lemptégy is a great place to discover or to take your children to discover the study of volcanoes in a fun and original way. What better place than an open volcano crater to learn all the mysteries of volcanoes?
Lemptégy is one of the only volcanoes that have such a visible crater. You can visit the place by foot or on a little train.
Château de la Batisse:
This thirteenth century castle, surrounded by beautiful thirteenth century decorated gardens, offers guided visits as well as animated ones. You can travel back to the thirteenth century for 1 and a half hours and see how noble people lived back then.
New in 2014: Nocturnal animated visits (on July 23rd and 30th and August 6th and 13th). Don’t forget your torches!
